They operate as an educational, charitable organization through the dissemination of knowledge and experience. As part of their mission they put together an incredibly creative and innovative Soup Bowls for Hunger each year to benefit The Family Pantry of Cape Cod.

This is a perfect event for us because they have tied it so closely to our mission which is to provide food and clothing to those in need. The Potters donate their beautifully handcrafted bowls for the event which is held at Cape Cod Regional Technical School. The culinary students make two soups and rolls and serve this as a very simple dinner for the attendees as a reminder of what a meal can be like if you lack the financial resources to buy whatever you want at a grocery store. The Potters have also built relationships with many other community organizations who provide wonderful assistance with the event:

Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank’s Foundation underwrites the event

Cape Cod Paper donates paper bags which are used as placemats and then the bag to take your bowl home in

Girl Scout groups decorate the placemats and assist people in finding seats and carrying trays if needed

The Department of Youth Services helps with set up of the room

Trader Joes donates flowers which are placed on the tables in recyclable bottles and cans highlighting the pantry’s recycling revenue program.

The pantry is very grateful for the Cape Cod Potters’ continued support that goes back to a few years after the pantry opened in 1989.
Web Site: www.capecodpotters.org
Sponsor Type: Event Sponsors
Thu, 30 Jan 2014 15:56:00 GMT Non-Profit - Exxon Mobile Foundation https://www.thefamilypantry.com/Supporters/Local-Business-Directory/agentType/View/ClientID/55 Michael Provost 55 Company Name: Exxon Mobile Foundation
Address: 5959 Las Colinas Boulevard
City: Irving
State: TX
Description: The ExxonMobil Foundation is the primary philanthropic arm of the Exxon Mobil Corporation in the United States. The Foundation acts as a vehicle for linking community resources with community needs. We accomplish this by building a pool of funds, investing them, and distributing income from the funds to nonprofit organizations and institutions working to support all that is good about Cape Cod.

One of more than 650 community foundations in the United States, the Cape Cod Foundation is about people helping their neighbors, their neighborhoods, and the communities they feel passionate about. The Foundation pools these contributions into an endowment so that the resulting income provides a continuing resource for the community.

Today the Cape Cod Foundation manages more than 250 individual charitable funds, no two of which are exactly alike in their purpose. Many are set up by donors to address a specific problem or area of concern or to address evolving challenges. As the Cape Cod community changes, the Foundation redirects its program to respond to those changes. At all times, the Cape Cod Foundation is dedicated to addressing the issues that are of the greatest importance to the people of Cape Cod.
Web Site: www.capecodfoundation.org
Sponsor Type: Grants
Sat, 14 Sep 2013 10:29:00 GMT Non-Profit - The EOS Foundation https://www.thefamilypantry.com/Supporters/Local-Business-Directory/agentType/View/ClientID/82 Michael Provost 82 Company Name: The EOS Foundation
Address: 537 Main Street, Suite 12
City: Harwich Port
State: MA
Zip Code: 02646
Phone: (508) 430-8130
Description: Our mission is to break the cycle of poverty by investing in children's futures.

The Eos Foundation supports nonprofit organizations, public policies, and systemic solutions aimed at nourishing children's bodies, nurturing their minds, and building family economic security.
Web Site: www.eosfoundation.org
Sponsor Type: Grants
Sun, 01 Sep 2013 21:21:00 GMT Non-Profit - The Gratis Foundation https://www.thefamilypantry.com/Supporters/Local-Business-Directory/agentType/View/ClientID/47 Webmaster 47 Company Name: The Gratis Foundation
Address: 1525 WWT Harris Blvd
City: Charlotte
State: NC
Zip Code: 28288
Description: The mission of the Gratis Foundation is to support programs in the fields of education, health care and medical research, humanitarian services, abused and neglected children and animals, specific religious causes and assisting U.S. Military personnel and their families.
