Things are happening at the Pantry garden - the herbs are growing, the flowers are blooming, and the veggies are sprouting! Our volunteer team, headed by Laura McCullough, has been hard at work for the past few weeks. The volunteers will plant 25 varieties of vegetables and 15 kinds of herbs, along with many different flowers in our 9,000 sq. ft. garden located directly behind the Pantry. Last year, the garden produced 6,000 pounds of food for our clients! We need many hands to accomplish such a feat! Want to help? No experience necessary, all volunteers welcome to help on Monday, Wednesday, or Friday from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. Jobs include harvesting, weeding, watering, and planting. Volunteer weekly, or drop by when you have a free morning. For more information please call 508-432-6519.
