The Family Pantry seeks a part time Assistant Director. 

The Assistant Director is responsible for the coordination of all 
activities in conjunction with the operation of The Family Pantry.  
Those activities include volunteer recruitment, training and scheduling
as well as program coordination. The programs include: the pantry, the
clothing boutique, food stamps, fuel assistance, supermarket gift card
program, the garden, the turkey program, the toy program, Easter 
baskets and various food drives. This position reports to the Executive
Director.

The Assistant Director is expected to follow and implement all policies
adopted by the Board of Directors. A significant amount of independent
decision making is required but the Executive Director will be involved
on unique or individual situations. Monthly reports are required on all
programs and volunteer activities.  

The Assistant Director shall provide general supervision to all 
volunteers working with the various Team Leaders, Managers and 
Coordinators.  Supervision shall also include evaluation of the 
volunteers and programs and shall be carried out in a manner that 
provides leadership and motivation to all volunteers and the 
community.

Education & Experience Preferences: 

1.	A bachelors degree in management or related field.
2.	At least 5 years experience managing large groups.
3.	Exceptional communication skills including speaking, listening
	and writing.
4.	Strong computer expertise to include Word, Excel, QuickBooks, 
	& website maintenance & upgrades.
5.	Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
6.	Ability to independently prioritize and to function smoothly 
	under pressure and within deadlines.
7.       Fluency in Portuguese or other languages is a plus.
